Yun Simpson is a Licensed Social Worker working to provide a supportive environment for all clients regardless of race/ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or ability. She has a particular interest working with youth and young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, current and former athletes, and those working through issues of identity related to race, sexuality, gender, and religion.

Yun received her M.S.W from the Catholic University of America and a B.A. from American University. She has previous experience in youth development, primarily working with high school student-athletes; working with athletes continues to be a passion to this day. Yun utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing upon solutions-focused therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, and other modalities to meet the unique needs of each client.

Yun is licensed to practice in Washington, DC and is being supervised at Heartwerq by Kyle T. Collins, LICSW.
