Allyson Harkey is a Clinical Social Work Intern who is working toward her Master’s Degree at the University of Maryland School of Social Work.

Allyson is interested in working with adult members of the LGBTQ+, polyamorous, and neurodivergent communities, with a focus on providing a supportive environment for clients experiencing mood disorders, relationship difficulties, and issues related to sex and sexuality. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, she worked for two decades in public health communications. Prior to coming to HeartWerq, Allyson worked with victims and perpetrators of intimate partner violence.

Allyson is supervised by Kristina Dutcher, LCSW-C.
